Sebastián Ruano

Sebastián joined CHEVEZ in 2021 and has focused his professional practice on administrative, constitutional, and regulatory litigation, as well as tax-related matters. He is involved in the design and implementation of defense strategies for domestic and international companies, representing them in constitutional relief proceedings (amparo actions), administrative litigation, and proceedings before federal and local authorities, both in connection with specific governmental actions and with laws and regulations of general application.

His experience includes handling complex, high-impact matters involving administrative sanctions, authorizations and permits, regulation of economic activities, personal data protection, and regulatory compliance. He has participated in the defense and advisory of companies operating in the technology and digital platforms, mobility and transportation, financial services, media and entertainment, and energy sectors, including the coordination of litigation and legal strategies across different states in Mexico.

He advises clients on risk assessment and the development of preventive and contentious solutions, seeking to translate complex legal issues into clear, practical recommendations aligned with their business objectives. His practice is characterized by a strategic, client-focused approach aimed at providing legal certainty, mitigating risks, and effectively protecting his clients’ interests.
