Ricardo has over 40 years of experience and his professional practice focuses on M&A, cross-border transactions, and transfer pricing.

He mainly advises companies with global operations, leading multidisciplinary teams in complex issues related to unilateral (APAs), bilateral (BAPAs), and multilateral advanced pricing agreements, as well as alternative dispute resolutions (MAPs), leveraging his experience and perspective as an accountant and lawyer.

Prior to joining CHEVEZ in 1997, Ricardo was a partner at a Big Four firm in Mexico where he worked for over 12 years, including two years based in the United States, providing international tax services.

Ricardo is a frequent writer for several tax publications. He has co-authored various books and is a regular speaker at international forums, mainly at the International Fiscal Association (IFA), the American Bar Association (ABA) and the New York University School of Law (NYU), of which he is a member of the practice council of the International Tax Program.

He is also a professor of the master’s degree in Corporate Business Law at the Universidad Panamericana (UP), where he has also taught for the master’s degree in taxation, and the Energy diploma at the Escuela Libre de Derecho (ELD). He is a former professor at the Universidad Iberoamericana (UIA).
