Ricardo Álvarez

Ricardo has advised on complex and highly specialized tax matters related to mergers, demergers, acquisitions, national and international reorganizations, audit procedures, income and value added tax refund requests, analysis of international treaties, calculation of income tax for individuals and legal entities, as well as pro-bono advice to non-profit organizations, among others.

Ricardo has experience in the mining sector, as well as in alternative means of dispute resolution in tax matters such as negotiation and mediation before the Taxpayer Ombudsman’s Office (PRODECON).

Ricardo is also an active member of the LGBTQ+ cluster within CHEVEZ named "Proud C+", as a representative of the community, whose objective is to make the workplace a safe space for anyone in the LGBTQ+ community, to turn talent into the most relevant aspect of a member of the Firm and to promote respect and value of diversity, in addition to generating an internal support network in which initiatives are generated to promote the inclusion and visibility of the community in the Firm.

Ricardo joined Chevez in August 2015 and was promoted to associate in December 2022.
