René Meza joined CHEVEZ in 2004 and has over 20 years of experience. His professional practice focuses primarily on tax consulting, advising public and private companies on corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructurings, as well as private clients’ matters relating to shareholders.

He also has significant experience in international taxation and has advised individuals and family offices on tax and wealth-related matters. Additionally, he has provided consulting services to Mexican financial institutions, including banks, brokerage firms, SOFOMES, and SOFIPOS.

René has actively participated in pro bono initiatives, supporting various foundations and non-profit organizations regarding tax and operational issues.

He has been a professor of tax subjects for more than a decade at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), teaching at the undergraduate level as well as in diploma programs and postgraduate studies. Previously, he taught at Universidad Iberoamericana (UIA) for five years.

He is the author of several tax-related articles, which have been published in specialized national and international media.
