Raúl has focused his professional practice on providing tax advisory services to a wide range of clients in Mexico.

Raúl joined CHEVEZ as an Associate upon the Firm’s founding on September 1, 1981, and was admitted as Partner on January 1, 1987. After retiring from the partnership on January 1, 2019, he transitioned to his current role as Advisor and serves as a member of the Firm’s Pro Bono Committee.

His academic experience includes teaching tax-related subjects in the AD II Program at IPADE, as well as in the Tax Diploma and Tax Specialty Programs at Escuela Bancaria y Comercial (EBC), and the Tax Diploma Program at Tecnológico de Monterrey (ITESM).

Deeply committed to academia, Raúl has been a faculty member of the Graduate Specialty Program in Commercial Law at Escuela Libre de Derecho for 29 years, where he teaches courses on the Tax Aspects of Business Entities and Accounting for Lawyers. He is also a frequent speaker at national and international conferences and seminars and has authored numerous articles on tax matters published in leading business and professional journals.
