Marco joined CHEVEZ in February 2015, promoted to associate in December 2019. With more than 12 years of experience, his professional practice focuses on providing high-level tax advice to important national and international corporations, including some listed on the Mexican Stock Exchange (“BMV” per its acronym in Spanish) and on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).

With a practical and business-oriented approach, Marco has been involved in a wide range of transactions and sectors, representing domestic and foreign clients in tax audits, litigations and complex tax controversies before federal authorities and courts, as well as in the design and implementation of negotiation and mediation strategies in alternative dispute resolution mechanisms before the Mexican Fiscal Ombudsman.

Marco has participated in teaching subjects related to tax law, legal remedies, and taxes at Universidad Iberoamericana (UIA), Universidad Panamericana (UP) and Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas (CIDE). He has also been part of the Training Partner program as an evaluator in professional internships for students of the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (TEC).

Marco has served also as co-author of several articles on tax matters published in specialized media of the legal profession.
