Iván Moguel

With more than 44 years of experience, Iván advises both domestic and international clients from various industries on complex corporate tax matters, as well as on specialized wealth planning for individuals. He also handles and advises on tax audits processes, Value Added Tax (VAT) and Income Tax (ISR) refunds, as well as the resolution of tax disputes.

Throughout his professional career, he has represented and supported clients in highly relevant negotiations before tax authorities. His practice is distinguished by his initiative, timely response, and commitment to each of his clients’ needs through tailored solutions.

He is a member of the Management Board and Audit Committee of several stock exchange and private companies in Mexico.

He has been a professor at some of the most prestigious universities in the country, such as Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), Universidad Iberoamericana (UIA) and Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM).

Iván joined CHEVEZ in 1982 and he was promoted to Partner in 1993. From 2007 to 2020, he served as Managing Partner of the Firm’s Tax Consulting area.
