With more than 18 years of experience in complex international trade and energy cases, Gerardo’s practice focuses on international trade, including import and export projects related to maquila operations, complex tariff classification, Free Trade Agreements, customs valuation, contractual supply chain, and anti-dumping procedures. He has also complemented his expertise with studies in maritime law, enabling him to advise shipping companies on their operations in Mexico.
Gerardo also has extensive experience in the energy sector. In recent years, he has challenged numerous regulations that are contrary to free market principles and affect private companies through unconstitutional lawsuits.
Additionally, he has obtained energy permits granted by the National Energy Commission and government authorizations for solar parks regarding tariff relief, as well as permits for the import and distribution of fuels.
