Edgar Contreras has more than 15 years of experience in administrative law, tax law, international trade, and customs law.

He currently leads the International Trade and Customs practice in the Firm's Monterrey office, advising domestic and international clients on international trade audits, proceedings before tax and customs authorities, origin verifications, strategic litigation, and international trade consulting. His experience includes advising on the Manufacturing, Maquiladora and Export Services Industry Program (IMMEX), the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) program, and VAT and Excise Tax (IEPS) certification matters.

He also serves as an Adjunct Professor of Tax and Administrative Procedural Law at the Tecnológico de Monterrey (ITESM), Monterrey Campus.
