Jimena is an attorney with over twelve years of experience specializing in tax litigation. Throughout her career, she has represented domestic and international companies in complex tax proceedings before the tax authorities, both at the administrative and judicial levels.

Her practice focuses on the strategic resolution of tax controversies, including tax audits, conclusive agreements, administrative appeals, and tax litigation. She also advises clients on the assessment and mitigation of tax risks arising from tax audits and enforcement actions, as well as on the development and implementation of comprehensive defense strategies against tax authority assessments.

Her experience also includes working in the corporate sector, where she was involved in tax and compliance matters within a corporate group, providing her with a broader business perspective that complements her litigation practice.

Jimena joined CHEVEZ in 2024 as an associate, becoming part of the Firm’s tax litigation team.

She has been involved in some of the most high-profile tax litigation cases in the country, representing major business groups in high-impact and strategically significant disputes.

In addition to her legal practice, Jimena is actively involved in academic activities. She serves as an adjunct lecturer in Tax Law and Economic Law at CIDE, particularly in courses related to tax law. She is also a member of Abogadas MX, an organization focused on promoting women’s leadership in the legal profession.
