Alfonso has focused on administrative law, specifically on tax matters. His main areas of expertise are tax and administrative litigation, attention to tax audits by the authorities and proceedings before the Mexican Tax Ombudsman (PRODECON), representing the interests of domestic and international clients.

Alfonso has more than 20 years of experience in administrative and tax litigation, which has allowed him to participate in relevant controversies before District Courts and Federal Tribunals, including the Supreme Court of Justice of Mexico (SCJN).

He is the author of several articles published in specialized journals and participated as co-author in the preparation of the book Procedimientos Contenciosos de Resolución Exclusiva de Fondo. He has taught several courses on tax and administrative matters and is a professor of Tax Law at the Center for Economic Research and Teaching (CIDE).

Alfonso García was promoted Partner of CHEVEZ in 2018.
